I really have two different ways of getting my ideas down on paper. Sometimes I start with pencil sketches. I'm very quick with sketching out ideas and designs. I'll then scan them in and clean them up by adjusting the contrast, brightness, and levels, if needed. Another way I like to work is by using a black marker and exploring the character through sketching out silhouettes. This allows me to get dynamic poses down quickly before exploring the designs further.
